Aerosol Disinfection

Dry Mist Disinfection

Healthcare-associated (nosocomial) infections are a critical challenge: the mortality rate among patients with a nosocomial infection is up to 10 times higher than in patients without one, and the actual infection rate is estimated to be 50–100 times higher than the officially documented figures.

Why routine cleaning is not enough

Routine cleaning and disinfection without targeted improvement rarely removes pathogens from surfaces. MRSA has been found on up to 66% of ward surfaces after final cleaning, and C. difficile spores can persist even after bleach disinfection.

The Dr. Fogg™ Solution

The Dr. Fogg™ dry mist disinfection system eliminates the human factor through an automatic process that reaches every surface in the room. Aerosolised hydrogen peroxide kills up to 99% of microorganisms, ensuring complete disinfection of the space.

How it works

The method transforms a liquid disinfectant into a finely dispersed aerosol that fills the entire volume of the room, disinfecting surfaces in hard-to-reach and remote places — walls, floor, equipment and furniture.

Droplets up to 20 microns are classified as dry mist: they diffuse evenly throughout the room and penetrate hidden areas. Disinfection time depends on the room volume and the calculated H₂O₂ concentration.

“If you have a choice — to improve technology or to improve human behaviour — technology is the best choice.”
